The Beckington driveway gate is one of Charltons most popular made to measure gates. This attractive gate has tongue & groove match boarding as well as vertical pales to see through. However, the gate still offers security. This gate is also available with a flat top.
Modern technology, as well as traditional joinery skills, is used to create a quality made to measure gate. The gate has strong mortice & tenon construction and a planed finish. Additionally, the Beckington has a heavy duty bottom rail as standard. The life of the gate are extended with water run off features. These features encourage the water to run off as well as impeding water ingress. It also benefits from a planed finish and choice of stile tops. The gates are also supplied treated with two coats of preservative. All gates must be treated with a Modern UV wood oil prior to installation.
Made in Britain, the Beckington driveway gate is manufactured using sustainable slow grown softwood. Slow grown softwood is more dense and as a result produces a better quality wood. Therefore, a more durable gate. Hardwood is ethically sourced joinery grade Iroko.

Hanging | Gates must be hung with the bracing raising up from the bottom of the stile |

Storage | Ideally should be stored flat on level bearers. Can be stored upright against a wall (must not be uneven) with both stiles evenly supported but preferably, not for too long., Until gates are installed they should be handled carefully. Do not drag across each other or across surfaces. |
Please note | Gates cannot be left exposed to the elements until fully treated, These gates have been produced at 16% moisture content and need to be kept dry. Avoid direct contact withsunlight until the gate has been fully treated |
